Palm Beach homes are always in high demand, and fortunately the market has remained healthy in that wealthy area of Palm Beach county Florida. Unfortunately within the past couple of years, the south Florida real estate market has been struggling. This year, numbers are at an all-time high, compared to the rough past couple of years following the Florida housing market crash. The tables are turned back in favor of the real estate market in south Florida. May 2013 has produced double digit increases in home sales, and the numbers of homes sold are staggering. Here in June 2013, real estate agents and brokers are seeing the same trend continue, but with even higher sales numbers. Between a limited inventory, historically low asking prices, and competition between cash buyers and investors, this real estate market is littered with “flash sales”. Flash sales are a phenomenon in which properties are being purchased in record time, sometimes within 24 hours of going up for sale. What’s more, a lot of these Florida homes are being sold at or even above asking price due to competition between buyers. Palm Beach county real estate is making a serious comeback, turning the tables to a seller’s market as opposed to days in the past of a buyer’s market.
