Lake Worth is a city that is a part of urban West Palm Beach, just south of downtown West Palm Beach Florida. Established in the late 1890’s, this town has always been centered around Lake Worth, now commonly known as the Lake Worth Lagoon. Today Lake Worth is a part of south Florida culture, and a desired residential and vacation area. As well as a hot spot for condominium owners.
Many Lake Worth Florida condominium owners that reside along the Lake Worth lagoon relish the unobstructed lagoon views, while on the other hand there are condominium owners that feel the water space can be put to better use by installing exclusive docks for each condominium building. Oasis Condominium owners just got the official go-ahead by the city to build their own exclusive dock extending into the Lake Worth lagoon. This 150-foot dock is actually very unique, and councilors hope that it will set a precedent for well-kept Lake Worth lagoon docks, as currently there are none in “useable condition” along the Lake Worth Lagoon’s shores. The Condominium Association was granted permission to construct the dock under certain stipulations, however, including dock use hours, prohibited overnight stays, and to maintain and landscape the dock for aesthetic appeal. The city hopes that the construction of the new dock will help generate tax revenue, as well as inspire other condominiums along Sloan’s Curve to construct aesthetic docks along the lagoon.
